Alma Wehmeyer

Alma Wehmeyer, 99, of Port Lavaca passed away June 17, 2024. She was born January 8, 1925 in Yorktown to August B. and Martha Koopman Hahn. Alma was a member of the Women’s Study Club for many years and Salem Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son, Philip Wehmeyer (Kelly); daughter-in-law, Laura Wehmeyer McGrew; sisters, Cecilia Dolezal, Helen Grimes; grandchildren, P.J. Wehmeyer (Melanie), Caleb Wehmeyer (Kelsey), Kassidy Kocian (Lane); and great-grandchildren, Addison Branham, Parker Wehmeyer, Kinley Wehmeyer, Everly Kocian, Everett Kocian, Eloise Kocian, Elliette Kocian, and one more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Wehmeyer; son, Nathan Wehmeyer; parents; sister, Mary Jane Schliesser; and twin brother, Wilfred Hahn.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 from 9-10 am at Salem Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at 10 am. Burial will be in Six Mile Cemetery.

Pallbearers are P.J. Wehmeyer, Caleb Wehmeyer, Lane Kocian, Kurt Grimes, Gary Hahn, and Bruce Dolezal.
