A beacon of loving light to all, Wendy was, and forever will be a builder of family in every sense of the word. She was our true Wonder Woman. Wendy was an ever present mother to four beautiful daughters, an ecstatic grandma from New York to Arizona, and steadfast partner to the most gregarious fellow this side of the Blarney Stone. The weight of her loss is without measure. Wendy was equal parts grace, beauty, and earnest compassion. Her love for fitness was balanced by her love for new foods and a nice pour of Chardonnay. Her love for travel and adventure was matched by her love for an evening at home surrounded by her family. In a fashion only Wendy could, she was so many things to many people all at once. In every way that her warm heart touched our lives, she will be dearly missed.

Cherished grandmother of AJ & Raiden Needham and Aria Ocasio. Loving daughter of Barbara Southard and her husband Dan Dalton and the late Ronald Southard. Adored sister of Paul Southard and his wife Donna, Timothy Southard, Jamie Southard and his wife Mari, Katherine Southard and the late Michael Southard. Dear sister-in-law of Steven Heinboldt. A visitation for Wendy will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Words of remembrance by the family during the visitation. Cremation Private.
