It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosario A. Chechile, lovingly known as Roy, aged 68, of Coram, New York. Rosario departed from this world on Sunday, March 17, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.
Throughout his life, Roy was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who knew him. He had a passion for sports, particularly Jets football and Mets baseball, finding joy and camaraderie in the excitement of the games. Beyond the realm of sports, he possessed a deep love for his faithful companion, Missy, his beloved dog, whose loyalty brought him immeasurable comfort and joy.
Roy had a zest for life that extended to his culinary adventures. He relished the experience of going out to dinner, savoring delicious meals with friends and family. Additionally, he found solace and creativity in the kitchen, where he displayed his culinary skills with finesse, delighting loved ones with his delicious creations.
An artisan in his own right, Roy was renowned for his craftsmanship as a woodworker. He poured his heart and soul into his creations, crafting exquisite curio cabinets, banquet servers, and vanities that reflected his skillful hands and meticulous attention to detail. His work stood as a testament to his dedication and passion for his craft.
In remembrance of Rosario, a visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 4839 Nesconset Hwy, Port Jefferson Station, New York 11776. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, located at 33 Crown Acres Road, Centereach, New York 11720, followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, located at 3442 Route 112, Coram, New York 11727.
Rosario A. Chechile leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will live on eternally in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal embrace of his heavenly abode.
