Richard E. Aiello on March 19, 2014 of Port Jefferson, LI. Rich was a loving husband, a proud father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was married to Lisa for 28 years. Together they had three beautiful children whom Rich adored, spoiled, and was extremely proud of. Throughout the school year you could always find him on the sidelines during their games or attending their school concerts. As the kids became seniors and thoughts of a senior prom were on the horizon, Rich would be at the forefront of construction, offering his thoughts and his tools to the 'building of the prom". Rich was a huge Jet fan and loved attending Jet games with his kids. He would spend Saturday mornings shopping so they would be ready for tailgating on Sunday. Being with his Jet buddies was something he looked forward to during football season, in spite of whether they won or lost!
When not attending games, he enjoyed spending time with family, golfing, having dinner with friends, or just sitting by his pool bar.
During his career Rich was a dedicated and valued senior executive and Board Member at numerous companies. Rich’s contributions at First Data, Welsh Carson Anderson and Stowe and TransFirst developing strategies and helping lead acquisitions solidified his strong legacy in the payments industry. Rich was always known as highly fair and capable and he built countless friendships throughout his 20+ year career. Rich also mentored and nurtured many other executives within these companies, a contribution that will create a lasting impact for years to come.
Rich is survived by his wife Lisa, children: Rebecca, Thomas and Nicholas; his parents Vicki Aiello and the late Thomas; sisters: Debbie Brown, Cathy Aiello and Tammy Stahley. and many loving nieces and nephews.
