Luella May Grandazza, 86, of passed away on November 11, 2024. Born on September 26, 1938, Luella lived a life rich in love, family, and passion for those around her. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter R. Grandazza, with whom she shared 63 beautiful years of marriage. Together, Peter and Luella started their journey by eloping in North Carolina, a story that would mark the beginning of a lifetime filled with adventure and love.
A devoted mother, Luella leaves behind her daughters Linda Miller, wife of the late James, and Donna Grandazza. She is reunited in peace with her late son, Michael. Her legacy also includes her cherished grandchildren: Brianna Garcia (Nick), Michael Miller, Emily Miller, Kayla McKenna, and Taylor McKenna, who were the light of her life and her greatest joy.
Luella’s talents and passions were as boundless as her love for her family. A self-taught seamstress, she lovingly crafted Christmas outfits, Halloween costumes, and even sewed her daughter Linda's wedding dress, each stitch a testament to her skill and devotion. Known for her delicious Italian cooking, Luella’s meals brought family and friends together, filling her home with warmth and laughter. Her garden was her haven, where she grew tomatoes, and even once managed to grow a remarkable 60-pound pumpkin!
Travel was another of Luella and Peter’s great loves. They traveled together to Italy on several occasions, and they especially enjoyed their condo in Naples, Florida, where they created countless memories together. Peter and Luella also embarked on many unforgettable cruises and adventures with several of their close friends. Earlier this month, Luella fulfilled her wish to attend her granddaughter Brianna’s wedding in Florida, a cherished moment surrounded by those she loved most.
Predeceased by her dear sister, Barbara Pagliaro, Luella leaves behind a family that will forever be inspired by her love, kindness, and boundless pride in them. Her warmth, laughter, and endless love for her grandchildren will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A visitation for Luella will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 4-8 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Prayer service on Saturday at 9 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY.
