Len and I worked together for over 30 years. Bear Mountain, West Point and NJ are a few of the early locations. A dedicated, positive, intelligent, and enthusiastic person in a leadership position training others. Len was the best. Since retiring we have exchanged thousands of emails on politics, humor and business with the occasional phone call follow up. Len loved his family and our conversations always found their way to the grandchildren. 
Our hope is the kind memories of Len will sustain all of you in the coming weeks and months. Our sincere condolences to the Mormando family.

So very sorry for your loss. Len was a very good man. In my 31 years at Novartis I was fortunate to have several great bosses and he was among my favorites. He led us through many challenging years in the late 80s and early 90s in the training department. He kept it a fun and supportive place to work. I’m so glad we stayed in touch over the years. My thoughts will be with you as we mourn his passing. 

My name is Bill Smith. Len and I worked for over 30 years together at what is now Novartis. My wife and I were friends with Len and Ruth and had many good times together. Len and I became very close.  I will always value our relationship. He was a true professional and more importantly a great guy.

My deepest condolences on Lenny’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with him and calling him a friend. A great person who cared about other. Rest easy old friend. 

Len was such a positive influence on the lives of the team that worked for him at CIBA when he headed up MT & D.  All 20+ of us were like his extended family, transplants from around the country.  Deep friendships formed among that work family that survive today but were incubated in the supportive, nurturing environment he fostered.  I was so delighted to be part of his Les Mis retirement celebration. 
 And in that vein:

Len hired many talented young people for Sales Training at Ciba. He empowered us, trusted us and forwarded many movie clips that were appropriate for a particular scenario. Brave Heart was a favorite. He was like a 2nd father… at least to me. 

God bless his family. I was lucky enough to have him for 4 years. His family was lucky enough to have him for a lifetime. 

Never imagined when we took this 3 weeks before that it would be our last picture together. But I love it.  Miss you Dad.  Will love you always.
