John Anthony Buonaiuto, 87, of South Setauket, NY, a former battalion Chief of the FDNY, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Mildred Agnes and his beloved children Teresa Goodfellow and her husband John; Barbara Bonasia and her husband Joseph; Diane Buonaiuto; and Christine Villanueva and her husband Richard. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his grandchildren Lindsay, John, Andrew and Danielle. Visitation will be Saturday, 2/20 and Sunday, 2/21 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p..m. at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, Port Jefferson Station, NY. On Monday, 2/22, there will be a chapel service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram, NY at at 11:30 a.m. Included in the service will be honors by the New York City Fire Department and the Army-National Guard.
