It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Jimmy, aged 70, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in the Philippines, Jimmy embarked on a remarkable journey when he married his cherished wife, Salome, in 1981. They eventually ventured to the United States, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Jimmy was a man of many passions. He found great joy in the simplicity of life, whether it was cheering on his favorite boxers, testing his luck with lotto tickets and scratch-offs, listening to his favorite Country music singer, Don Williams, or spending time in the kitchen, where he showcased his exceptional culinary skills. Renowned for his authentic Filipino dishes, Jimmy's cooking brought warmth and comfort to all who had the pleasure of tasting his creations.
But perhaps Jimmy's greatest joy came from being a grandfather. Adored by his grandchildren; Alexander, Nicolas and Liam, he held a special place in their hearts as "Lolo." His eyes would light up with pride and joy whenever he was surrounded by his beloved grandsons, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A man of order and cleanliness, Jimmy was known for his meticulous nature. Some might have even referred to him as a “neat freak”.
Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend.
In honoring Jimmy's memory, let us carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
