Elizabeth "Betty" A. Ciotti

Betty was the beloved wife of Edward Ciotti, sharing almost 68 wonderful years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Jean Derespina (Frank) and Maryann Ciotti, and a devoted Nanny to her cherished grandchildren, Madison and Zachary Monsolino. She was also the adored sister of Mary Rivera, Patricia Grund (Harry), and Joan Shaulinski (Bill), and was predeceased by her brothers Edward Morgan (Arlene) and John Morgan.

Betty’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. One of her fondest traditions was gathering the family every week for a home-cooked meal, where she lovingly prepared her famous chicken cutlets just for them.

When Edward retired, the couple embarked on cross-country travels, embracing adventure despite Betty’s fear of flying. They also spent ten wonderful years enjoying six-week stays in Florida, where they relaxed by the beach and soaked up the warmth until health issues prevented them from continuing their travels.

Betty found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—she loved playing Bingo and was a dedicated parishioner at St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church in Port Jefferson Station, attending weekly services with faith and devotion.

A visitation for Betty will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 10 AM at St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church, 300 Terryville Road, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

Betty will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, love, and cherished traditions will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
