It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara E. Annunziato of South Setauket, NY, at the age of 78, on September 26, 2024. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Annunziato and a devoted mother to Laura Vatter, Julie Pernice and her husband Michael, and the late Jennifer Annunziato.
Barbara’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Jenna, Molly, and Gavin Vatter, as well as Phinnea and Calder Pernice. Her love for her family was evident in all she did, always putting their needs before her own.
Known for her nurturing spirit, Barbara had a remarkable ability to care for others, often prioritizing their happiness above her own. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed watching her favorite television programs, finding joy in simple pleasures.
Barbara’s legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Barbara’s memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her caring nature.
A memorial visitation for Barbara will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776.
