Virginia D. Baker

Virginia “Ginny” Baker, 58, passed away June 7th, 2024 surrounded by her family. Ginny was called home after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Estella Burns (Jayne), and Floyd Burns, her husband Gary Baker, brothers Robert Burns Sr., William Burns Sr., sisters Beverly Labarre and Debra Spencer. Ginny is survived by her daughters Natalie L. Burns and Nicole M. Lane (Burns). Three grandchildren Jonas LaBelle (Nikki), Elaine LaBelle (Nikki) and Wyatt Burns (Natalie). Jerome Barry, sisters Charmayne Fisher (Chuck) and Patricia Desmond (Carl), brothers Floyd Burns Jr. and Tracy Burns, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ginny loved her family and friends as well as her time as a firefighter for Chenango Fire Company, where she was a lifetime member. Ginny was involved with Dream Seekers Paranormal. She was proud to participate in the “haunts” where she made amazing friends, Lisa, Patty, Cindy and Bob.

The family will receive friends at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 10AM-12PM with a graveside service to follow at Vestal Hills Memorial Park at 12:30pm.
