Tammy Lynne Truman, age 57, of Nineveh, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, September 19, 2022. Tammy was a current resident at Bridgewater Nursing Home in Binghamton. Tammy was predeceased by her grandparents, Evangeline & Kenneth Kisner and Nora & Erwin Truman of Harpursville. Tammy is survived by her parents Kathie & Donald Truman of Nineveh; her brother & sister-in-law Timothy & Jill Truman of Sanitaria Springs; her sister, Tracy Truman of Harpursville; nephews Nicholas Truman & Tyler (Krystyna) Truman; nieces Morgan Truman (Anthony), Alexus & Tamryn Roys; great nephews Jordan & Gabriel Truman, great niece Winifred Truman and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
Tammy was born on March 13, 1965 in Sidney, NY. Tammy graduated from Afton Central School in 1985 with interest in Early Childhood Education for her love of children. She was a proud member of the Girl Scouts of America, earning many merits. Tammy was a very dedicated employee at ARC as an assembly line worker at their Frito Lay site. She loved her job and had many friends there.
The family extends their sincere thanks and appreciation to the many providers that cared for Tammy including: ARC, Achieve, Broome Developmental Center, Handicapped Children's Association and Bridgewater Nursing Home for their outstanding care and compassion for Tammy, as well as to the many doctors and nurses that dedicated themselves to her comfort and care with such compassion.
Tammy’s beautiful smile, joyful soul, and sense of humor captured the hearts of all who knew her. The strength and courage that she endured throughout her battle with Leukodystrophy is beyond compare. Tammy was dearly loved, resting peacefully and will be truly missed.
The family will receive friends at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 1-2pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 2pm. Burial will be in the Nineveh Presbyterian Cemetery.
