Norman Rogers, 79, of Binghamton, a proud Veteran of the US Navy, passed away eleven months ago on December 21, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents Norman & Martha Rogers, sister Frances Van Patten, son Norman C. Rogers, daughters Noretta J. Rogers and Donna L. Rogers, son-in-law Robert A. Stewart and sister-in-law Barbara A. Vining.
Norman was survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years Donita C. Rogers who recently passed away on November 15, 2023.
He is survived by his daughter Loretta (Lori) Stewart, granddaughter Krystal & Brett Ford; grandson Kenneth & Jess Burford, great grandchildren Ellie, Finn, Camryn and Ollie, brother in law Gary Vining & Fiancée Jean Williams, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He enjoyed spending time with his Wife, family and many friends both in Binghamton and at the family cottage.
Norman was a member and Past Commander AP of the Susquenango Power Squadron branch of America's Boating Club United States Power Squadrons. He served as a Binghamton Auxiliary Police Officer and Broome County Security Officer. He was a Master Electrician and member of the local IBEW 325 who mentored journeyman. He was a member of USA Ballroom Dance, The Country Grazers, Schufflin Shoes square dance and both judged and participated in roller skate dancing competitions.
In abiding with Norman’s wishes there were no funeral services.
