Bonnie J Stevens

Bonnie J. Stevens, age 69, of Kirkwood, New York passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. She was predeceased by her mother, Hazel Owens; step-parents, Leslie and Elizabeth Kintz; brother, Kenneth J. Owens; and sister, Lisa Best. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Don Stevens; stepson, Brad Stevens; sister, Karen Smith (Doug Heath); nieces, Casey Slocum (David Benning), Rachell Smith (Floyd Burns), Melissa (Patrick) Natale, and Maria (William) Yerger; 8 great-nieces and great-nephews, Gabrielle, David, Dakota, Abigail, Zachary, Victoria, Cameron, and Brielle; and many close friends.

Bonnie was a loyal employee of Binghamton State Hospital, retiring after 40.1 years. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, playing softball, darts, and horseshoes, and spending time with Don at their second home in German, NY. She was an auxiliary member of VFW Post 478 and American Legion Post 80, and a life member of Loyal Order of Moose #1013. Bonnie was a free spirit who made friends wherever she went, and she will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours Friday, November 3, 10am-12pm at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, NY, followed by a burial service at Chenango Valley Cemetery.
