Arthur "Art" Victor Sexton, Jr. age 87, of Johnson City, New York passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur, Sr. and Dorothy; his wife, Joanne; and sister, Ross Anna Nash. He is survived by his four children, Colleen Sexton, Kevin (Kelly) Sexton, Kelly Woodruff, and Christy (Jim) Felter; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Art graduated from Central High and then went on to receive a degree in journalism from Syracuse University. He served as fire & rescue with the US Air Force. Art worked for the United States Postal Service, retiring after 30 years. He loved sports, and enjoyed watching his favorite teams - the Yankees, the NY Giants, and NY Knicks. Art played senior softball and also umpired games for over 30 years.
A graveside service will be held Monday, December 6, 2021, 10am at Vestal Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, PO Box 458, Chenango Bridge, NY 13745.
