Ralph passed away peacefully at his home in Coquitlam on January 1, 2021. He was well known as a kind and caring man with a gentle disposition. He always had a smile and a word of encouragement for everyone he met. Ralph came to Canada in 1959 to study Chemistry and Mathematics at UBC. He was well respected in both his professional and personal life. He became the Director of Quality Control at Stanley Pharmaceuticals in 1968. In 1993 Ralph was promoted to Vice President of Quality Control until his retirement in 2001.
Ralph was a very active member of various church groups over the years. He loved the Lord and devoted much of his time to prayer and Bible study. One of Ralph’s greatest joys was being a father and grandfather. He enjoyed camping and travelling with the whole family. They went camping with the Burnabee RV club for more than 30 years. They also travelled together to Trinidad and Tobago in 1977 and Israel in 1980. Ralph and Edna developed a special love for the Jewish people, and were able to return to the Holy Land for a second time in 1995.
Ralph was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Marion Edna. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Ralph Jr. (Jacki); daughter Elizabeth (Brian); grandchildren Joshua, Matthew, Rachael, Brianna and Robert; many friends and his extended family.
Due to COVID restrictions we are only able to have immediate family present for a short graveside service. Ralph’s burial will be on Friday January 22, 2021 at 1 pm PST. A livestream can be accessed using the following link. https://www.legacystreaming.com/dignity-port-coquitlam/
