Maria Magdelena Rose (nee Madarasz) —Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Sweetheart to Julius – her spirit gently floated on to her next adventure. While in the arms of Julius, and after a long loving visit from her family, which included her three children, Rhea Eric and Cindy, her sister, Christina and her two grandchildren, Saffron and Morgan, she departed with grace, peace and love on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 9:45 from Holyrood Manor, 22710, Holyrood ave, long term care facility; she is pre-deceased by her mother Rosalia Orlinski and her brother Kornall Madarasz. She was the beloved sweetheart of Julius, dear mother of Rhea, Cindy, Eric; she was scooter- the- mother-in-law to Terri Fleming and Diana Rose, Auntie M to Jessica, Jeff, Brenda, Shane, Steven, Michael, Kevin, Brian, and Tim, great-aunt to baby Charlie, Sara and Aaron, and she was Baba to Saffron and Morgan, whom she loved and help raise. They say it ‘takes a village’ and she was the center of our family village. Family was Maria’s strength and greatest love.
Although her time at Holyrood was very short, we, the family, would like to thank them for the wonderful comfort care and guidance they gave her and us in our time of need. As well, we would like to thank the rehabilitation staff and staff at Path in Ridge Meadows hospital. They worked so long and hard with our mother. The journey to her next adventure started 3 months before her passing and Maria struggled greatly to bring herself back to her lovely condo at Parkwood Manor in Pitt Meadows where she lived among her wonderful neighbours for 22 years; in the end she went home to join her mother, Rosalia.
A small private, family service will be held for Maria at Burkview Chapel in Port Coquitlam and she will be buried with a private graveside service beside her mother, Rosalia Orlinski in Port Coquitlam Cemetery, 4150 Oxford St., Port Coquitlam on Wednesday June 29th . We will celebrate her life in a closed family gathering.
We would like to give our deepest heartfelt thank you to all of the friends and neighbours at Parkwood Manor, Pitt Meadows; many of you have lived there as long as Maria and those of you who knew our mother and kept an eye out for her during her trying times, thank you for your love and caring. Some of you called ambulances and others watched with concern as our mother struggled in her last months. Thank you so much for your words and efforts. Maria said thank-you and now she says good-bye, with love.
You will see us, her daughters and son, Rhea, Cindy and Eric over the next month or so as we quietly go about the business of closing.
