Margaret Flanagan (nee Flinn), born in Vancouver on July 4, 1923, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2020 at 96 years of age. She was pre-deceased by her son Don in 1999, by her husband Les in 2013 and by her grand-daughter Teresa in 2014. She leaves behind her sons, John (Doreen) and Doug (Joan), daughter-in-law, Marlene, grandchildren, Bob, Pat (Denise), Laureen, Sheryl (Darryl), Shaun, Martin (Terra), great-grandchildren, Ian, Andy, Lexi, Skylar, Jacob, Ryan, Levi, Asher and Liam. Also, her sister Gwen and sister-in-law Alene plus nieces and nephews.
Margaret grew up and went to school in Port Moody and spent most of her adult life living there. She met and married Les Flanagan, her husband of 70 years. Together they raised three sons. Margaret and Les were members of the Port Moody Rock and Gem Club and loved to explore and camp with the family while they prospected and rock collected all over B.C. The two of them also enjoyed traveling, especially in relationship to their rock-hounding, even travelling as far as the Australian Outback to tour an opal mine!
A Celebration of Life will be held at a yet to be determined date.
