Marcia Jean Stewart

Marcia Jean Stewart, 70, of Coquitlam, British Columbia and St Andrew, Jamaica, passed away peacefully on May 27th, 2024. She was born on July 30, 1953, to Gladys and Lister Stewart in St Andrew, Jamaica WI.

Marcia graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1970 and went on to study Psychology at Concordia University in Montreal. After graduation, she returned to Jamaica, where she worked at Royal Bank Ja Ltd and then her family’s business, Capital Press Limited.

She moved to British Columbia in 2008 and worked as a freelance accountant for several years until 2017 when decided to take a permanent role working at Excell Railings in their accounting department.

Marcia was a devout follower of Christ and though she never married, she was the spiritual mother and godmother to many. She has been very involved in every church community she has been a part of and has made many lasting relationships in Jamacia and British Columbia, brightening the lives of others with her warm smile and kind heart.

Marica was predeceased by her parents Gladys and Lister Stewart. She is survived by her brother Glen Stewart, Nephew Leon (Kristi, Micah, Liam & Judah) Stewart, and a wide circle of family members and friends who cherished her wisdom, grace, and unwavering love.

A celebration of Marcia’s life will be held at Calvary Worship Center in Surrey BC on July 13, 2024, at 12:00 PM.
