Greg is survived by his daughters, Kelsea and Natalie, and former spouse, Sylvia Lee. He will be dearly missed by his parents Bayne and Penny Vance of Bradner, BC, his sister Leanna Peleshytyk, and brother-in-law Rick Peleshytyk of Kelowna, BC, niece Megan Thomas (Quentin) of Nanaimo, nephew Justin Peleshytyk (Lexi) of Fort Langley, brother Glendon Vance and sister-in-law Daniela Vance of Port Coquitlam and nieces and nephew Emily, Alyson and Matthew Vance, sister Sarah Weber, brother-in-law Jason Weber and nephews and niece, Adam, Lucas and Claire Weber of Port Coquitlam.
Greg was born in Ottawa on November 15, 1965. He moved to the rural community of Bradner in 1970, where he spent his childhood and teenage years, along the way making many of his lifelong friends. Greg graduated from W.J. Mouat High School in 1983. After high school, he attended BCIT where he earned a diploma in Operations Management, followed by a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Greg enjoyed his career, where he specialized in supply chain management and held positions at Vancouver Coastal Health, Canadian Airlines, Seaspan, Avcorp and most recently as a Project Manager, Real Estate with Translink. Greg’s hobbies included golfing, off-roading, and refinishing furniture. He loved his golf getaways with his friends and took great care and pride in making someone’s old piece of furniture new again. Greg was an avid reader and movie buff and loved hosting the neighbourhood dads for poker night. Greg married Sylvia in 1997 and together they raised two talented and beautiful daughters whom he was extremely proud of. Greg considered Kelsea and Natalie to be his greatest accomplishment.
Greg will be dearly missed. Details for a Celebration of Greg’s life will be shared shortly.
