Gerald Lionel Sjodin

He moved to BC in 1957, where he soon met the love of his life, Irma, and where he would spend the remaining 67 years of his life. In 1962, Gerry and Irma married, and together they raised two children – Carmen (Bob) and Roger (Lisa). During their life together, Gerry and Irma adventured together on numerous road trips; some with their kids, some with their siblings, and some just the two of them. Irma passed away in 2010, and it fills the hearts of his family to know that they are together, on the road again.

Gerry later became Grampa to four grandchildren – Ashley (Colby), Taylor (Hayden), Nick (Alexa) and Maddy – who all brought a smile to his face, and filled him with pride and joy. From Sunday brunches to Christmas Eves and tree decorating, they are lucky to have many cozy memories with Grampa and Gramma to carry with them.

A funeral mass will be held at St Clare of Assisi Parish in Coquitlam on Thursday December 5, 2024 at 11:00 am.
