Dennis Edward Wilkins

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dennis Wilkins. Dennis was born in Vancouver, BC, the son of Ada Marie (Mansel) and Robert Laurence Wilkins. Dennis is survived by his wife, Judith Sanderman; children, Mark (Kristine), Lawrence (Marilyn), Susanne (Lorne) and Kari, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Christopher.

Dennis was a manager for B.C. Tel, retiring after 39 years. With a huge love of antique telephones, Dennis searched the four corners of BC for rare finds, usually with kids in tow. In retirement, he and Judy traveled the world. An Ethiopian trip resulted in founding Project Ethiopia, working with two Ethiopian brothers to bring education, clean water, sanitation, housing and economic opportunities to the rural area of Dangla. Dennis’ spirit of compassion and generosity continues to spread to an increasing number of rural communities, empowering them to thrive.

A Memorial Service will be held on April 14, 2018 at 10 AM at the Pitt Meadows United Church, 12109 Harris Road, Pitt Meadows.
