In loving memory of beloved wife and grandmother, Celia Raqueno Palomar. She passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving husband Andy and close family at Eagle Ridge Hospital
Celia's warm energy and radiant beauty, both inside and out, touched the hearts of all who knew her. She cherished lifelong friendships and was a much-loved colleague throughout her career.
Celia shared 62 beautiful years with her devoted husband Andy, whom she knew since childhood. Together, they raised their cherished daughter Grace, who lit up their lives for 42 glorious years before passing away (much too soon) prematurely from cancer.
They later found immeasurable joy in their two beloved grandchildren, Garrett and Rachel, who she greatly loved and never missed a chance to spoil and show off.
Celia's ability to adapt and make new friends helped her family thrive when they emigrated from the Philippines to Canada. She excelled at sports, embraced new pastimes, and continued to light up every room with her beautiful smile.
Celia now walks alongside her daughter Grace and is survived by her loving husband Andy, sister Linda, grandchildren Rachel and Garrett, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A viewing and memorial service will be held on June 8 at First Memorial Funeral Services. A funeral mass will take place on June 9 at Our Lady of Fatima Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
