Catherine Elizabeth Patterson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine Elizabeth Patterson, affectionately known as "Cathy," on April 13, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Cathy was born in Victoria, BC on April 3, 1951, to John and Kay Patterson. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Cathy is survived by her loving children, Thomas Neufeld and Alexandra Neufeld, and her cherished siblings Marilyn Davies, Margaret Halbert, Mike Patterson, Ron Patterson, Richard Patterson, and David Patterson. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Kay Patterson.

Cathy spent her working life as a dedicated office clerk and office manager, making significant contributions at BC Ferries, NABET, and the CEP Union. Her diligent work ethic and warm personality were admired by all who worked with her.

Residing in Coquitlam, BC at the time of her passing, Cathy enjoyed traveling, tending to her beautiful garden, raising her two children, and spending time in nature, appreciating its tranquility and beauty. She was also a devoted pet owner, cherishing the companionship of her beloved dog, Zeus.

Cathy was known for her kind and generous spirit, her unconditional love for her family and friends, and her ability to brighten any room with her infectious smile. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Cathy's name to the BC Cancer Foundation to support research and advancements in cancer treatments, or to Crossroads Hospice Society.

Rest in peace, Cathy. Your memory will forever live on in our hearts.
