Russell J. Witt, 86, of Punta Gorda, FL died March 8, 2012. He was born December 12, 1925 in Chicago, IL and was a WWII Army Veteran. He worked as a Vending Manager for the Pepsi Cola General Bottler's in Chicago, IL for 25 years before retiring in 1987 and moving to this area from Aurora, IL. Mr. Witt was a 55 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Fresno, CA
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Witt; children, Randall (Dawn) Witt; Mark (Julie) Witt, Jacqueline (Gary) Ray and Karen Witt; grandchildren, Erik Ray, Ryan (Andrea) Ray, Patrick (Rhiannon) Ray, Sterling Witt, Allison Witt, Samuel Witt and Joseph Witt; great grandchildren, Katelyn and Haley Ray; brother-in-law, Michael (Marie-Jo Quinault) Wilson; sister-in-law, Angela Cordon; nieces, Raquel Horton, India and Jade Cordon
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday March 27, 2012 at the Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice at tidewell.org.
