Roland was born on March 30th, 1938, in the Parish of Trelawny, Jamaica to parents Emeline Taylor and Earnest Stewart, deceased.
Roland lived in New York City where he worked for many years at Long Island Jewish hospital. In 2004 he retired and moved to Port Charlotte, Florida where he lived until his passing.
Roland is survived by his daughter Stephnie Stewart and son Trevor Stewart. Grand-children Shaun Romans, Paige Romans, Nicole Stewart, Peter Stewart, Kristina Stewart, Michael Stewart, Natalie Johnson, Chrishaun Mitchell, and Shalana Mitchell.
Roland had joined and became a member of the Domino Club in Port Charlotte, Florida where he was loved and adored by his peers. He loved his friends and always make himself available when they need his assistance. He loves challenging conversations to discuss and debate on current affairs and history.
On his leisure time, Roland had a passion for music as he loves to dance. Toyota cars are always his fancy.
Roland will be remembered for his bright and energetic laugh, his comradery and is cool and levelheaded character. He touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life.
A visitation for Roland will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
