

Mr. Richard William (Dick) Stumpf, 83, passed away from colon cancer on Sunday, Sept 26, 2010 at his home at 7296 Van Lake Drive, Englewood, Florida 34224. He was the husband of Jacqueline Hanrahan Stumpf, his loving wife of 8 years, who he met in the choir of St Francis Catholic Church.
Born Feb. 4, 1927 in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Claude James and Mildred Enders Stumpf. He survived his loving wife of 44 years, Jacqueline A. Stumpf (Mahar). Together they lived in Rochester, NY most of their lives and were active in Sweet Adelines, church choir, golfing, and Boy Scouts.
Dick served his country in WWII in the U.S. Navy. After over 37 years, he retired as a research engineer from Eastman Kodak Company. He was an active volunteer of FISH of Englewood, a member of the Elks, and sang many years with various choirs in Rochester NY and Englewood FL. He was also a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church.
On his side, he is survived by his three sons, David (Thais), Stephen (Maria), and Thomas (Magdalena); five grandchildren (Lisa Truisi, Adam Stumpf, Eugene Stumpf, Michael Williams, and Marylynne Garcia); seven great-grandchildren (Skyla and Jonah Stumpf, Alyssa, Alexander and Talon Truisi, and Haley and Carly Garcia); his brother C. Robert Stumpf and sister-in-law Loretta Derby Stumpf; four nieces (Sherry Grimm, Ginny Reinholtz, Debbie Selvek and Cindy Stumpf-Schlauch); and one nephew (Jeffery Stumpf).
On his wife's side, he is survived by two sons-in-law (Clifford and Michael Hanrahan); and three daughters-in-law (Patricia Hanrahan, Denise Hanrahan, and Coleen Herzig (Hanrahan)).
