Rebecca E. Erickson, 54, of Port Charlotte, died suddenly in Deland on Saturday, December 29, 2007. A resident of Florida for 38 years, she was a happy person, always with a smile on her face, who worked for eight years at the Animal Welfare League and ten years as a dental assistant at Port Charlotte Dentalcare with Dr. Joseph A. Farag. D.M.D. She loved traveling, cruises, RVing and boating. Pre-deceased by her parents, brother and daughter, she is survived by her husband Jerry, daughter Christina Jones Doug, two step sons, Dean and Jake, brother Larry Cory, sisters Terry Tubbs and Linda Slack, 4 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 5th, 2-4 PM at the Kays-Ponger funeral home, Port Charlotte Chapel with funeral services to follow.
