Peter was born in New York on November 28, 1935, to Alfred and Eugenie Stamm. He was an Air Force Veteran, and served in Wiesbaden, Germany post-war in the early 1950’s.
Peter married Karen Carson on April 14, 1973. Together they raised 4 children in Westchester County, New York.
With a family pedigree in the financial industry, Peter chose to pursue his passion in 1964 by founding Stamm Personnel Agency, a highly respected executive recruitment firm with a national and international clientele. In February 2006, Peter relaunched his practice as Sannon-Stamm Associates.
Peter was unique in the service he provided, both as a professional and as an individual. He embodied an old-world honor and integrity, commitment and wisdom. To these innate qualities, he brought a warmth and generosity of spirit and a deep belief in doing the right thing, even if it were at a personal cost. He truly touched the lives of countless people, immeasurably.
Peter is survived by his wife of 50 years Karen, his children William, Patricia, Deborah, Russell and wife Meghan; his grandchildren Erica, Joshua, Connor, Brendan, Cameron and Patrick; his brothers Robert Stamm and wife Janet and Bill Nelson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Alfred “Jimmie” Stamm and sister Christy Nelson.
A memorial service and celebration of Peter’s life will be held at 10am on Friday July 19, 2024, at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Punta Gorda, FL followed by a burial at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL at 2pm.
