Lorene Jackson, 85, of North Port, FL passed away March 14, 2011. She was born July 11, 1925 to Robert and Mellie Whited in Indianapolis, IN. She and her family moved to Florida in 1978 from Indiana and to this area in 1999 from Bonita Springs, FL. She was a homemaker and a Christian woman who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was active in the social community of La Casa Mobile Home Park in North Port.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Rudi Wolfahrt and grandchildren, Joy and Lydia Wolfahrt all of Punta Gorda, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL. Inurnment will be at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens at a later date.
