LaDonna E Rolfes

LaDonna (Gratopp) Rolfes passed away on June 8, 2015. She was a loving wife to Wayne and after his passing was fortunate to reacquaint with and marry Russ Rolfes.

She lived in Polynesian Village in Englewood, FL for the past 37 years, moving south from Royal Oak, MI. Her goal in life was to help others. She helped her community implement many programs. She was most proud of her work in support of local food pantries and was pleased this program will continue in PV. She will always be remembered for her capacity to see a need or a problem and her willingness to tackle them, no matter what the size.

She is survived by her children, Gary Gratopp (Linda Morrison) and Nona Carr (John Carr), as well as grandchildren, Delayne Gratopp, Andrea Gratopp, Tyler Carr and Charlie Carr, along with one great grandchild, Ava Gratopp Feld.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne Gratopp and Russell Rolfes.

A celebration of LaDonna’s life will take place at Polynesian Village in November. The date and time will be announced later.
