Joanne S. Murray, 74, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Sunday, December 4, from complications of Covid pneumonia at a local hospital. Born in Burlington, Vermont on November 8, 1948, she was the daughter of Eugene and Leah (Lavigne) Shepard. She moved to Florida in 1989 and became a realtor in 2001. She leaves 2 sisters, Claire (Tom) Couture and Marion (Donny) Chartrand and 3 brothers, Bernard (Amie) shepard, David Shepard and Roland Ferguson and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Murray, her parents, and a sister, Anita Sexton.
Her cremains will be sent to Vermont for a private burial in June. There will be no wake. Any donations may be made to your local homeless coalition.
