James E. Robinson Sr., 68, of Englewood, FL, passed away March 9, 2020. He was born in Flint, MI on April 3, 1951. He attended New Buffalo Sr. High, New Buffalo, MI. In his words he was a proud graduate of the school of hard knocks. He spent over 30 years as mechanic, however the career accomplishment he was most proud of was earning his Captain’s license and becoming a boat Captain. While he had a love for cars, boats, and all things that went fast his greatest love was his family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, Sharon Robinson and his father Leonard J. Robinson. He is survived by his son James E. Robinson Jr. (Dawn) (Carolyn), two daughters, Theresa Golden (Matthew), Sandra Robinson. Grandchildren; Elisha Robinson, Nadia Robinson, Keenean Robinson, Eliana Golden, Kyle Golden, Gaige Robinson, and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother JoAnn Zeman and stepfather Kenneth Zeman. Along, with many siblings, David L. Robinson, Stephen C. Robinson, Richard J. Robinson, Kathleen A. Lipscomb (Terry), Carolyn J. Stradone (Gary), two step siblings, Jim Zeman and Judy Hughes (Wayne). He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The family will be holding a private celebration of life on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:30.
