Helen Dorothy Palmer, 96, died peacefully at Pinebrook Center in Venice on Tuesday. She was born to Ada and Frank Burke in Queens, NY and lived in Westchester County, NY until she and her husband, Jack (deceased) moved to Englewood in 1974. They had one son, Jack Jr. (deceased). She is survived by her daughter-in-law Mary Palmer of Cary, NC; two grandchildren: Ann (and Mike) Kendall of Charlotte, NC and Jack (and Jennifer) Palmer of Huntersville, NC, 10 great-grandchildren and a large extended family.
She was an avid gardener, volunteer at Englewood UMC and dedicated Duke fan. Most of all, she loved her family.
