He was born June 10, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to George W. Wrigley
and Ida L. Morello Wrigley. George Wrigley came to Punta Gorda, Florida from
Waukegan, Illinois in 1986. He was the owner of Wrigley’s Tennis Shop for 28
years, retiring in 2015. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in US Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Brigitte of 50 years of Punta Gorda, Florida; his son,
William Wrigley of Marco Island, Florida, his daughter, Heidi (James) Arco of
Naples, Florida, 4 grandchildren, Nicolette and Emily Arco and Tony and Michaela
Williams. A sister, Sharon Wolfe of New Jersey and his brother in law, Lothar Huedig
of Mill Creek, Washington. George was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen L.
Wrigley, she died in 2010. No services have been scheduled at this time.
