Elsie D. Warner, 96, of Punta Gorda, FL died peacefully at HQM Nursing facility in Port Charlotte, FL on September 5, 2007. Born in Modesto, IL she and her husband moved to this area in 1970 from Ionia, MI and were the first residents of River Forest Village Mobile Home Park. She was a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert L.Dorothy McKinley, of North Port, FL and Cheboygan, MI and William A. DonnaWarner of Springfield, MO; three daughters, Lois K. White, of Rochester, IN, Cherie A. Peabody of Belding, MI and Rebecca L. Bill Fry of Punta Gorda, FL; 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Karl R. Warner, sons Donald E. McKinley and K. Dana Warner, a grand-daughter, Linda McKinley Laisley.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238.
