Elizabeth Ruth Hetrick, 94, of North Port, Fla., passed away August 5, 2010 at North Port Pines. Ms. Hetrick was born on July 10, 1916 in Palmyra, Pa. to the parents of Kathryn Smith (Wagner) and Abner Witmer Hostetter. She was married to Wayne S. Hetrick, also of Palmyra, on March 9, 1940. In May of 1988, she and her husband relocated from the Lebanon Valley, Pa. area to Englewood and then in 2000 to North Port, Fla. She was preceded in death in 2003 by her loving husband, Wayne.
Surviving are her son, John and wife Sue Hetrick of Tallmadge, Ohio; daughter, Frances and husband Anthony Chernoske of Ellicott City, Md.; grandchildren Joel and Brent Hetrick, Michael and John Chernoske, and 6 great grandchildren.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Gravel Hill Cemetery in Palmyra, Pa. Memorials may be made to Tidewell Hospice Philanthropy Dept., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fl. 34238. Arrangements are by Lemon Bay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
