Mr. Sisson was born on Aug 22, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late James Carlyle and Elizabeth Robertson Sisson. He was married to the love of his life, the late Doreen (Lassiter) Sisson from September 4, 1949 until her passing on May 8, 2022.
He is survived his children, Paul D. Sisson (Nancy), Cheryl L. Vincent (Gregory), Robin L. Demyanovich (Edward), and Keith W. Sisson (Julie); 13 grandchildren, Rebecca, Eric, Abigail, Zachary, Nathanael, Tara, Chad, Megan, Melissa, Leah, Trenton, Bradley, Alexandra; 22 great grandchildren with more on the way; nieces Marla Sebu, Kelly Albers and Tracy Kosman.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Scott Alan Sisson; and sister and brother in law Colleen McDermott (Patrick).
Duane was employed by Detroit Edison for 37 years. He and Doreen enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, and traveling extensively throughout the world.
A memorial service will be scheduled at Wheatland Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buchanan, VA at a date to be announced.
