Crandall V. Casey, 58, of Englewood, Florida, died February 16, 2008. He was born October 25, 1949 in Trenton, New Jersey to Charles V. and Louise Bolden Casey.

He moved to the Englewood area in 1992 from Fairbanks, Alaska where he was a retired Firefighter and Policeman for the Fairbanks International Airport.

He coached in the Y.M.C.A. Youth Basketball and Soccer Leagues for many years. He was the Founder of the Fairbanks Soccer League Association and he was an avid Outdoorsman and enjoyed growing Orchids and other flowers. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He is survived by his of 18 years, Donna L. Bolton-Casey of Englewood; his children Kyrra Casey of Englewood, DaShon Casey of Gainesville, Florida, Charles Vincent Casey of Englewood, Jeremy Scruggs of Aiken, South Carolina and Basil Foxx of Fairbanks, Alaska; his mother Louise Casey of Gainesville, Florida and his grandchildren, Cyrillon Casey and Amber Scruggs.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. February 20, 2008 at Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 3333 Clark Rd., Sarasota, FL 34231.
