A Golden Apron winning associate of The Home Depot, she loved to help people build their dream kitchens and baths. She had learned these skills as a member of the 126th Civil Engineering Squad in the Air National Guard where she received her initial training as a carpenter. She continued to hone her skills by helping friends and family with many carpentry projects calling for her expertise. When she wasn’t busy building something, she enjoyed creating and maintaining beautiful garden beds, finding any excuse for a party or celebration, going boating, perpetually preparing for Christmas, and doting on her loving family. She is already sorely missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Ralph D. Sagel, children Justin (Krystine) Lange, Erin (Campbell Keehan) Lange, Ryan (Stephanie) Lange, Caitlin Lange, Dennis Sagel, and Ashley (Lucas Wodnoff) Sagel, 7 grandchildren, siblings Ann (Bob) Kuh, Brenda (Debbie Koehn) Borkenhagen, Bud (Pam) Borkenhagen, Donna (Jeff) Ward, and former husband William Lange. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Kathleen Borkenhagen.
A celebration of her wonderful life will be held this spring.
