Carol Ann Harrison (Strawser) passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 78 in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was born on November 12, 1944, in Montgomery County, Ohio. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and sister with a huge heart. She was always forgiving and would do anything for anyone. Carol had a passion for caring for pets and often took in and cared for friends and family who needed a place to live. She will be remembered for her selflessness and willingness to help others.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Paul "Dino" Harrison. She is also survived by her daughter, Kim Landmark, and her son, Brian Harrison. Carol adored her grandchildren: Casie & Dylan Landmark, Christopher Eckel, Bradley and Brandon Harrison. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Brandi & Kira Landmark, Brooklyn Eckel, and Addison Harrison. Carol is survived by her twin sister, Nancy Taylor, her brother, Karl Frybarger, and her sisters, Beck Payton and Kathy Robbins. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Scott Lightcap, her grandson, Kenneth Lee Lightcap, her parents, Kenneth & Marian Strawser, and her brother, David Frybarger.
Throughout her life, Carol worked in various professions, but she will be most remembered as an amazingly talented seamstress and the owner of Alterations by Carol in Port Charlotte. She had a passion for sewing and making brides look their best on their wedding day. Carol also enjoyed creating costumes, especially for Halloween, for her children and grandchildren.
Carol worshipped at Freedom Bible Church. She found solace and strength in her faith.
In her free time, Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping at yard sales and consignment shops, sewing, fishing/boating, collecting 45 records, dancing, and gardening.
Private services will be held locally, with Kays Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home in Port Charlotte, Florida, assisting with arrangements.
Carol Ann Harrison will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
