Tinh X. Tran, age 76, of Groves, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022. Tinh was born July 25, 1945 in Ha Tinh, Vietnam. He was a loving father, devoted husband, and a servant of God. He was an avid fisherman throughout his life and lived each day to the fullest.
In 1979, he and three of his children were separated from his wife and other two children as refugees of war. Though he had little when they came to the United States, he worked to provide for and raise his children. It was not until 1991 that he was reunited with his wife and two other children and in the next year had their youngest child. Through hard work and perseverance, Tinh gave the family a foundation and means to become successful in their endeavors.
His smile was contagious and sense of humor only matched by his brother Quang.
Tinh is survived by his wife, Van Thi Tuyet Le; sons, Hoang Tran and Jamie Hiep Tran and his wife Uyen Pham; daughters, Hanh Tran and her husband Dung Tran, Hang Tran, Hai Tran and her husband Diep Nguyen and Ha Tran and her husband Danh Nguyen; brother Quang Tran and his sister An and Nghe Tran. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsey, Kaleb, Katelyn, Haley, Elayna, Ryan, Kardin and Alice.
Prayers will be offered by the family from 5:00 - 8:00PM on Wednesday January 12, 2022 and from 5:00 - 8:00PM on Thursday, January 13, 2022 with a recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning a 6:00 at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass will be offered Friday January 14 at the Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 15, 2022 at 9:00AM at the Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church. Tinh's burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
