She was born on April 19, 1924, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Lawrence and Annie (Jennusa) Messina. Rosalie worked as an employee of Texaco Inc. during WWII at the Texaco Island canning facility. After WWII ended, she married Elmo J Dugas and lived in Port Arthur together with their 3 sons. Rosalie also was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her three sons, Kenneth Dugas and his wife Rita of Santa Fe, TX, Ronald Dugas and his wife Debbie of Richmond, TX, and Richard Dugas and his wife Sandy of Port Neches, TX; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Grammer-Oberle Funeral Home, 4841 39th St., Port Arthur. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2011, in the Chapel of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, in Groves, TX.
