Myra was born on July 13, 1941, in Houston, Texas to Velma Otho Bodle and Oscar Kermit Bodle. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who took care of her family all of her life. Myra had lived in Port Arthur for most of her life and was a member of Word of Life Church in Groves. She loved to go to the Casino, play Bingo, she had a passion for going to garage sales, dancing, singing and yodeling. Myra loved life, her family and her friends but especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies.
Survivors include her daughters, Myra Lane and her husband Todd of Vidor, Pamela Myers of Vidor, Kimberly McGill and her husband Russell of Groves; siblings, Lexie Conner of Warren, A.D. Bodle and his wife Dorothy of Houston, Harry Lee Bodle and his wife Maria of Fulshear, Texas, Wayne Bodle and wife Janie of Houston, Janie Morales and husband Lawney of San Antonio; grandchildren, Amber, Sarah, Natalie, Zaina and Ahmad; Ashton and Justin; Blake and Cole; Bradly and Hunter; great grandchildren, Addilynn, Raiden, Aiza, Aiyan and Zayne. Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Velma and Oscar Bodle; daughter, Lisa Harakeh; brothers, Luther Bodle and Kermit Bodle; husband, Eugene Wheeler who passed away on July 20, 2008.
A visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
