Maurine Ann O'Dell

Maurine Ann O’Dell, 81, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. Maurine was born December 12, 1936 in Port Arthur, Texas to Ashton Joseph Moreau and Grace Guidry Moreau. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and married David O’Dell on June 16. Maurine retired from the medical field as a receptionist. She had a passion for dancing, bowling, traveling and playing bridge. Maurine’s favorite place to visit was Disney World.

Maurine was preceded in death by her parents; Ashton Joseph Moreau and Grace Guidry Moreau; sons, John Ashton Curtis and David Lynn Curtis. She is survived by her loving husband, David O’Dell; daughter, Debra Buckley and brother, Jude Moreau of Groves, Texas.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Northpoint Community Church, 420 S. Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77707.
