Maudry DeWalt

Maudry B. DeWalt, 79, of Port Arthur, TX., died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at her home in Port Arthur, TX. She was born on August 24, 1934 in Mallet, Louisiana to the late Todial H. Godeaux and Savannah Godeaux. She attended high school at Holy Rosary Institute in Lafayette, LA., and Dillard University in New Orleans, LA. She was a long time resident of Port Arthur, TX.

Mrs. Maudry DeWalt is preceded in death by her husband, Artist J. DeWalt, Jr., and a son, Attila DeWalt.

Survivors include her children, Artist J. DeWalt III of Houston, TX., Angella (Martin) Richard of Port Arthur, TX., Arturo “Bean” DeWalt of N. Richland Hills, TX., Alex (Monetta) DeWalt of Houston, TX., Angus (Sherri) DeWalt of Keller, TX., Adrian (Serina) DeWalt of Houston, TX., August (Ruth) DeWalt of Houston, TX., and Anakajsa (Keith) LaDue of Richmond, TX. She is also survived by two sisters, Mildred Marie Price of Port Arthur, TX., and Lois Godeaux of San Francisco, CA., and a very special cousin, Ingrid (Wallace) Singleton of Manvel, TX.; long host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Life Celebration for Maudry DeWalt will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 beginning at 8:00 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:00 a.m. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Park in Beaumont.
