Mary Christine Aucoin

Mary was born on June 2, 1952, in Port Arthur, Texas to Prudence Allsbrook and Elmer W. Nielsen. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in 1970 and was a former member of St. George Episcopal Church in Port Arthur. Mary was a retired social worker with Social Systems and loved caring for people and taking care of them. She enjoyed cooking and baking but mostly she loved her family dearly and was close to each and every one of them. They will miss her dearly.

Survivors include her husband and love of her life, James Aucoin of Port Arthur; children, Chris Aucoin of Port Arthur; Jamie Aucoin of Wilmington, North Carolina and Jennifer Aucoin of Austin, Texas; siblings, Ann Hansen of Port Arthur, Martin Nielsen of Beaumont, Johnnie Nielsen of Kingsland, Texas and West Nielsen of Fairfax, Virginia.

Private family services were held at the place she called home. Cremation services were handled by Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur.
