Marie (Pat) Robison was called home to the Lord on October 6, 2015, following a short illness. Marie, a native Port Arthuran, was born to Rose and Moise (Blackie) Patin. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, graduated from St. James High School, and attended Port Arthur College. She was employed by Southwestern Bell where she met her husband, Walter (Robbie) Robison and enjoyed 46 years of marriage. Marie was also employed by Webb’s Pharmacy prior to becoming a full-time homemaker and mother.
Throughout her life, Marie was involved in many clubs and organizations and participated in helping charitable causes. She was active in St. Joseph’s Altar Society and PTA; she belonged to the Lakeview Volunteer Fireman’s Auxiliary; she was a member of the Lakeview Garden Club and a District Garden Council Floral Judge; she co-founded the Lakeview Teenage Club with her husband; served as a Jefferson Co. Precinct Election Judge; was a member and officer of Court St. Teresa of the Catholic Daughters and also served the organization as District Deputy; and belonged to the Golden Triangle Antique Car Club.
Marie loved children and devoted her time to working with them. She devoted 20 years of service to Sycamore Elementary and Pre-School Learning Center.
Marie was a devout Christian who loved her family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Savarino and husband, Philip of Port Arthur; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. The family wishes to give thanks to all those who showed their loving concern during Marie’s time of need.
A Christian Vigil and Rosary will be recited Friday, October 9, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., with visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015, at St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Rite of Committal will follow at, Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
