Leandra Romero Munoz, 101, of Port Arthur, died Friday, June 7, 2019 in Port Arthur. A native of Laredo, TX, Mrs. Munoz, has resided in Port Arthur since 1941. She was a Member of St. James Catholic Church where she served a member of the Alter Society and as a Eucharistic Minister. Mrs. Munoz, also, supervised over the fundraisers, bingo and the meals that were prepared at St. James, she retired as the cafeteria manger, as well. She was a former employee of El Charro.
Mrs. Munoz was preceded in death by her husband Pascual Munoz and by three daughters and a granddaughter. She is survived by three sons, Pascual Lewis Munoz of Lancaster CA, Jesus “Jesse” Munoz of Village Mills and Joe Munoz of Port Arthur; two daughters Juanita Broussard of Spring, Texas and Carmen Collins of Port Arthur. She, also, leaves behind seventeen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, thirteen great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, 2019 at 2:00PM AT St. James Catholic Church. The interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
