John was born on November 5, 1941, in Port Arthur, Texas to John and Helen Domec. He was a retired pipefitter with Ameripol Synpol in Port Neches where he retired on December 31, 2000. John attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves and was a United States Air Force Veteran where he served as a mechanic. John loved gardening, going fishing, doing woodwork and was a caretaker for many loved ones.
Survivors include his son, Jeff Domec and Jeanice of Winnie, Texas; daughters, Tracy Hecker of Groves; Brittany Teel and her partner Tracie of Nederland; grandchildren, Kirsten Teel, Taylor Hecker, Kael Hecker, Chris Domec, Justin Domec, Logan Domec and David Fells; great grandchildren, Jace Domec, Klayton Domec, Addyson Domec, Olivia Domec, Kanaan Hecker, Mia Green, Natalie Fells, Noah Fells, Lakelynn Chance. John was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life who he was married to for fifty-seven years, Glenda Theriot Domec.
A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Gymnasium with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Immaculate Conception with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas under the direction of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Justin Domec, Logan Domec, Kael Hecker, Josh Curtis and Arlin Sterling.
In lieu of Flowers "Memorial Contributions" can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
